Here lies our dear flower, dead and departed,
She dedicated herself to everything she started,
Then ended this life giv’n her efforts wholehearted.
She magnified her calling for the world around,
Searched for the right and gratitude found,
Her talents, she developed and gathered, abound.
Willing to change and sacrifice for the better,
She took the hard path to forgive the debtor,
No challenge brought down, nor trial beset her.
Everything she created with detailed care,
Her time well spent in thoughtful prayer,
With attention to what matters in compare.
The qualities she held an example she set,
But humility kept her beyond pride to let,
A picture of meekness drawn, herself-forget.
Her vulnerability was shared, opened as a gift,
A light she held for others' burdens she did lift,
Always with intent to benefit, she wished.
She gave to the broken, the lost, and abused,
She spoke to the suffered, the hurt, and confused,
A message of hope and for love’s healing infused.
She’ll never fully know the impact she made,
The people she touched, the lives she saved,
A difference she had that cannot be weighed.
Her blooms come and gone, have fallen now,
But her spirit presence remains with us in vow,
In promises made, extend with power endow.
We’ll not forget, never take for granted,
The flower she was and how beauty she planted,
Too, her soothing voice that left us enchanted.
To heaven, the orchid has moved beyond,
Where there’s safety, love, and a family bond,
A place where the sun is forever dawned.
Amen.
